Frequently Asked Questions

+ WHO ATTENDS FOR THE RECORD?

Anyone is welcome to attend this event, and are not required to self-identify in any way.

We aim to gather seasoned musicians and music professionals, as well as emerging talent. When these various communities come together, they can share their specialized knowledge and build solutions that are truly useful. That being said, it's also important to have a fresh pair of eyes looking at this situation - music enthusiats are also invited!

+ WHAT HAPPENS AT FOR THE RECORD?

We'll start the day by creating teams and providing you with some industry info (helpful statistics and trends).

From there, you'll start working in your teams. Our judges will be joining us for the second half of the event, they'll give you some feedback while you work. Once everyone is ready, teams will pitch their idea to the group. Judges will ask the team a few questions and they'll choose a winner after hearing everyone's pitches.

We've planned special breaks throughout the day. These are opportunities to connect with folks outside of your team and also recharge. And you'll have snacks to keep you going too!

+ WHO OWNS THE STUFF THAT IS CREATED AT THE EVENT?

For the winning team, Solidarity in Sound would love to bring the idea to life. But if the team wants to stay in touch and pursue it independantly , we are in full support of this. Once the winning team is announced at the event, we will ask them how Solidarity in Sound can best support them. For the rest of the pitches, their ideas are always their own.

+ Is the venue wheelchair accesible?

Yes! Email hello@solidarityinsound.com if you have other questions around accessiblility. It is important that we create an environment where everyone is welcome, comfortable and safe.
